So far, this is what life has looked like:
All the switchbacks, all the random curves in the road, have led us here. I’m grateful, I really am.
But you know I’m impatient. I want the next step now. And I’d like it to be a step forward, if you please.
So, imagine my excitement when a Business Manager position opened up at a local Christian school. Is this it? A door for us to walk through? It seems a little too simple.
Suddenly, my mind explodes. If Thane got this job, our kids could attend the school at a major discount. We were considering sending them there anyway. And if Thane’s disability comes through, we could have enough money to put a down payment on a house in a cozy neighborhood close to the school. Still within 15 minutes of our church. And our families. We could actually have our life back together again by this time next year! I wouldn’t have to freak out about having to take time off work after this new baby is born.
Ok, this is just a step. We are attempting to walk through the door, and we trust that God will open the door, or close it. I am excited about the timing. It’s always fun to know when there is clear direction from God Almighty. It’s pretty cool.
Thane will apply for the job today. 😳😬 The applying isn’t the nerve wracking part. What if Thane gets the job and can’t work full-time yet? He’s increased his hours at the church, volunteering 3 days this week! 3 hours per day on Monday and Tuesday, and 6 hours today! It’s still not full-time, but he’s only been at it for 5 weeks.
Either way, 2017 is looking up!
